Baby and Kid Photo Postage Tips

Fill the Frame - Get in close to take the picture or use your camera's zoom lens to fill the entire frame of the picture with your child. This will give you a portrait with more impact.

Focus on the Eyes - Your child’s eyes are like the window into their soul. Use your camera’s focus lock (on most cameras you depress the shutter button halfway) to focus on your child’s eyes and then recompose as stated below.

Frame Off Center - A picture where your child is exactly in the center of the picture can look static and boring. Shoot the photo with your child off-center to make the picture look more dynamic.

Dawn & Dusk - Mid-day sun is often harsh and can wash out your pictures. Try taking outdoor pictures at dawn or dusk when the sun’s rays are gentler.

Turn off the Flash - Flash can create a variety of problems including harsh shadows and annoying “red eye”. When taking indoor pictures, try to avoid flash by taking advantage of available light. Position your child near a window that receives indirect light for a pleasing, well lit photo.
